Welcome to the Comsewogue Parents Music Association; a collaborative effort of parents, teachers,
administrators and school board members, wishing to foster a continued appreciation for music in our schools.
Founded in 2001 by five parents, it has grown to be a 200-member association. We strive to promote, educate
and infuse music into our schools from the elementary chorus to the high school symphonic band. It is our belief
that music provides an important role in the academic career of every student – elementary through high school,
whether they study music or not. Join us at the majority of the district’s music events.

Our website will be the main portal of information, and we will be keeping it up to date, with the latest
news about upcoming concerts, plays, guest speakers, and events in the area. Check out our LINKS page,
where you you will find relevant information about summer programs, music festivals, local arts councils,
performance venues, and ensembles. Our Newsletter page will have all newsletters ready for download,
and our Membership page has the current membership form.

Plato once said, “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the
imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” To that end, a hearty welcome.
We are proud to support music in our schools, and we look forward to another great year.
